An Earlier Version of a Popular Smartphone
The 8 GB iPhone is Apple's first generation smartphone. Even though its technology has aged considerably, it is still highly functional and fun to use. What Features Does the Phone Have?

- Memory. The phone has 8 GB of memory which does not allow for a lot of storage for graphics, music, and apps.
- Battery Life. The battery provides 250 hours of stand-by time and 8 hours of talk time.
What are the Trade-offs of Owning a First Generation Smartphone?
Being an earlier model smartphone, there are a number of trade-offs to owning the 8 GB iPhone as against a later model such as the iPhone 6. Some of these trade-offs are:
- The phone does not have 3G HSDPA compatibility.
- Wireless iTunes connectivity and downloads are not available.
- This iPhone does not have an external memory card slot.
- The phone does not have stereo Bluetooth, only mono Bluetooth.
