The Jordan brand released a new colorway onto the Air Jordan 31 silhouette, in celebration of the 2017 Chinese New Year. A black toe fades into a white upper that continues up the tongue, around to the ankle guard, and behind the heel. The laces and outsole are also coated in white. The sneaker sits atop an icy translucent outer sole that features a textured, bamboo-like pattern. The heel trim incorporates an actual strip of bamboo. Sneakerheads can find an additional accent piece on the underside of the tongue, where Chinese characters are stamped. A wings logo is stamped onto the medial ankle guard and a Jordan brand Jumpman logo is found on the lateral side of each shoe in a Metallic Silver that appears again on the midsole and inner sock liner.
