Viseras para GMC Canyon

GMC Canyon Sun Visors

Sun visors for the GMC Canyon are available in a variety of different styles. Each serves a slightly different function to improve driving visibility. Cleaning your visors regularly can improve safety in your GMC Canyon.

What styles do sun visors come in?

A variety of different sun visors exist for the GMC Canyon, including painted, flip-down, and removable.

  • Canyon painted sun visors begin as a solid strip at the top of the windshield and fade gradually into clear through a series of dots or a smooth gradient, depending on the model of Canyon. There is typically extra coverage in the middle of the top of the windshield, which is not covered by either of the two flip-down models. This sun blocker targets light beaming in directly through the windshield of the truck.
  • GMC flip-down style sun visors are installed above the driver’s seat and the front passenger seat. They are designed to flip up and down, and also to move left and right to block sun coming in through the windshield or through the GMC’s side windows. Flip-down models often include a small mirror panel sometimes flanked by lights. Often these visors serve doubly as a spot for storage, as documents can be clipped to the back of it.
  • GMC removable sun visors can be folded up when they are not in use and unfolded to be placed in the GMC Canyon’s windshield when it is in park. Do not use portable visors when the Canyon is running. There is a reflective side which faces out toward the parking lot to reflect light away from the car and keep the interior cool. The opposite side is frequently a pattern, color, or logo.
What materials are sun visors made from on the pickup?

Painted styles are obviously made using paint. Flip-down sun visors can be made from hard plastic, leather, or a variety of cloth textiles. The mirror is made from reflective glass and any lights are typically plastic. The rod which allows the visor to flip may be made from metal, plastic, or both. Removable sun visors are made from synthetic materials. There is usually a shiny coating on one side, and often thread embroidered around the sides to give it a polished look. Frequently a fabric fastener, such as Velcro, holds the visor together when it is being stored.

How do you clean sun visors?

Painted, smooth plastic, and removable sun visors can be wiped down with a damp cloth to remove dust and any spills. Fabric flip-down varieties can be vacuumed using an adequate attachment. They can also be spot cleaned using a soft cloth dampened with soap and water. Hard water spots can be removed from the mirror portion by applying a paste of three parts baking powder with one part vinegar. Let the paste dry on the mirror and then rinse it off.
