    I love my Kindle HDX 3rd Gen til the port died

    When my port broke on my original Kindle Fire, because of manufacturer's bad construction, Amazon gave me a great upgrade offer, and I got a brand new HDX 7", but no warranty was offered. I loved my HDX, and when it stopped charging just after 2 years of daily use, all they could offer was 20% off the "new" HD 8", which was a joke. It had half the processor and totally bad graphics. The only thing good was that it had two cameras, which this HDX doesn't have. Don't be fooled by the incorrect description because there is NO front-facing camera on this. You can use it for Skype, but have to turn it around to take a picture, without seeing what it is taking. Also, the HD doesn't allow mirror-imaging to my Kindle TV Fire Stick. So I ordered a repair contract here on E-bay for my old one, and I ordered this one with some flaws as a backup. Not sure why Amazon stopped making the HDX, but hopefully, it's to become a new model with two cameras!

    Kindle Fire 7 HDX a Deal

    Now that newer versions have come up it's possible to get one, new or barely used, such as one never/rarely used by someone who received it as a gift, or one sparingly used from a bulk school purchase. They are superb for readers who also wish to pop on the web. Not a true tablet, per se. The more memory, the better. Heavy readers will rip thru a 16 GB too quickly, at least get 32GB size--I used to use another brand's notepad device that is letter sized, and it's too bulky, like carrying a textbook. Fits nicely in a tote bag/handbag. Camera feature so-so, not enough clarity, but ok to have for emergency. I like using Android & matched a phone with it although the book syncing feature is going away next month via Amazon. Can use external website. Look for gently used ones--cannot beat all the features for the price. New/gently used ones with bigger memory are hard to find under $140, but price WILL go down as newer Kindle Fire/Voyager versions debut.

    Faster than a speeding bullet!

    I bought a kindle several months ago when mine suddenly quit working. The one I bought was advertised on eBay as being the same as the one I replaced. Not even close.It took me a while to get used to the replacement but I still wanted my old one. So, I went on eBay and found quite a few of the type I love and bought one.I ordered on Friday and it was in my mailbox on Tuesday. Love the fast shipping and my new Kindle Fire HDX 7, 3rd generation. There is just no substitute.

    Kindle Fire HDX 7

    I got this item a week ago Works fine and the screen is nice Battery life is good, and it is very thin and light. I bought it because I wanted to read books using text-to-speech. The text to speech though does not work perfectly, it runs the pages with no connection to the speech. This is very annoying because you have to stop all the time, and run the pages back. I expect Amazon to fix this quickly as it is a setback and a disappointment.

    Gotta love Kindle Fire HDX

    I purchased this one to replace my first Kindle Fire HDX that had a shattered screen. This model has quick response to touch screen, large screen for reading, vibrant colors, easy setup and all my books were retrieved and recovered from the old Kindle without any problems. The price point was excellent. Only downside is that the screen is sensitive if not protected, so be careful. With that being said, I love this model! 5 Stars.

    Fast, excellent hi-def screen; super value.

    Very pleased with the performance of this tablet. This is an Amazon Reconditioned HDX 7; we use the tablet for streaming both video and music so I sought out the HDX 7 because of its processor chip is faster and more powerful than the new Fire tablets. Videos play smoothly with no slow downs for buffering. Also the screen has higher resolution. This is an excellent value, they are getting difficult to find.

    Lighten up

    I like the size of the third generation and the speech to text voices are loud enough to hear in the car over the road noise. i can carry 956 books easily. Lightest library ever. Tis is an olere model and battery life is only 8 hours . It recharges quickly and if you have several you can read one and charge on which is what I do.

    Love it

    Charging port when bought doesn't work so well and I looked up how to fix and everyone with answer reviews seemed to have the same problem. love the quality and screen viewing and set up. easy! Wish it had a micro sd card port but it doesn't. However, you can buy e textbooks and use them on this kindle that's the reason I bought it as well.

    Top Notch Tablet

    This is a great buy, well worth the money. Stereo speakers,exceptional colors and value you would expect from a Kindle Fire. Lightning fast browser and with the internet it makes "computing" a pleasure again. Plenty of room for apps as well as music. I had an HD 8.9 but I don't miss it, I thoroughly enjoy this one. And the Mayday button comes in handy.

    Love this model!!!

    I already had a Kindle Fire HDX 7 which I love. The newer ones either have features I don't need or not the ones this model has. I have no complaints about this model, use it a lot and it hasn't given me any problems to decided to stay with the one I really like.
